Samsung HAF-QIN, HAF-CIN or HAFCU1: identify your water filter

Read the code on your cartridge. HAF-QIN / DA97-17376B, HAF-CIN and HAFCU1 are separate Samsung families; the shared brand does not make them interchangeable.

Match the reference printed on the old cartridge with the refrigerator’s documentation.

Samsung identifies HAF-QIN, HAF-CIN and HAFCU1 as separate filter families HAF-QIN is also labelled HAF-QIN/EXP and DA97-17376B.

Keep the cartridge reference separate from the appliance model

A reference such as HAF-QIN describes the filter. A code such as RF22R7351DT describes the refrigerator. Use either in the finder, then keep any extra market or revision suffix for the manufacturer check.

Open the right family before buying

HAF-QIN, HAF-CIN and HAFCU1 each have a separate list of documented refrigerator models. A model missing from that list still needs confirmation; an Amazon listing cannot supply a missing manufacturer match.

For HAF-QIN, compare the cartridge code and selected pack on the final Amazon page. A multi-pack changes the number of cartridges, not which refrigerator they fit.

After replacement: the light and water flow

Samsung’s filter light is a reminder timer and should be reset after replacement. The reset control differs between standard panels, Family Hub and other interfaces, so use the instructions for your exact refrigerator.

Samsung’s replacement guide also covers flushing and separate cartridge installation procedures. If the new filter will not seat or water flow changes, follow its troubleshooting link rather than buying another family by appearance.
